Biography Tsuzen, Nakajima (1944 - )
Tsuzen Nakajima was born in Tokyo in 1944. After completing his secondary school there he studied Art at the literature department of Waseda University. He developed a woodblock printing style he dubbed "Hangiga". The key attribute of the Hangiga style is that wood grain, wood texture and the translucent colours of the woodblock itself are incorporated into the final result. |
