Biography Nicholson, William (1872 - 1949)
William Nicholson was a British artist. He was a painter, a designer, an illustrator and a print artist. One of his earlier prints, showing Queen Victoria in 1897, the year of her diamond jubilee, endeared him to the general public. He had his first one-man show in 1903, and he remained a well-known artist until his death in 1949. It is well worth your time looking him up on Wikipedia. |
