Biography Idō, Masao (1945 - 2016)

Born in Manchuria, Masao Idō did not associate himself with other Sōsaku Hanga artists. He is not an experimental artist, but limits himself to traditional Japanese subjects, especially landscapes. His work is recognizable because of his carving style, which leaves a lot of small dots and squiggles.
