Biography Higuchi Tomimaro (1898 - 1981)

Tomimaro Higuchi was born in Osaka in 1898 and studied at the Kyoto City Specialist School of Painting from which he graduated. One of his teachers was Kitano Tsunetomi. Tomimaro Higuchi worked as a painter and printmaker and illustrator. He became an established artist exhibiting regularly at the great art shows at Bunten, Teiten and Inten.
