Biography Nakanishi, Yoshio (1899 - 1968)

Nakanishi Yoshio was a pupil of Yamamoto Kanae, the godfather of the S˘saku Hanga movement. He taught woodblock printing in Yamamoto Kanae's farmers' art movement. He exhibited in exhibitions organized by the Nihon S˘saku Hanga Kyokai in 1928-9. He was a founding member of the Nihon Hanga Ky˘kai, and he contributed to the third volume of Kitsutsuki, published in 1931. An artist whose work is pretty rare.
