Biography Nakanishi, Yoshio (1899 - 1968)

Nakanishi Yoshio was a pupil of Yamamoto Kanae, the godfather of the Sôsaku Hanga movement. He taught woodblock printing in Yamamoto Kanae's farmers' art movement. He exhibited in exhibitions organized by the Nihon Sôsaku Hanga Kyokai in 1928-9. He was a founding member of the Nihon Hanga Kyôkai, and he contributed to the third volume of Kitsutsuki, published in 1931. An artist whose work is pretty rare.
