Biography Hasegawa, Noboru (1886 - 1973)

Noboru Hasegawa was born in Tokyo. He graduated from the Western Painting department of Tokyo Art School in 1910. Though a limited number of his designs were turned into woodblock prints, he was mainly known as a painter, in which field he had a distinguished career. His preferred subjects were the Kabuki and the Bunraku theatre,
