Biography Enami, Shir˘ (1901 - ?)

Enami Shiro was a member of "Han no Kai", the greeting card exchange group led by Takei Takeo. He contributed prints to the S˘saku Hanga magazines, "Shiro to Kuro" in 1931-34, "Han Geijutsu" in 1932-34. He participated in the first exhibition of the Nihon Hanga Ky˘kai in 1931. His subjects include landscapes of Tokyo and toys. In 1989 a hardbound catalogue of his work was published: Enami Shir˘ mokuhanga shű - Collected woodblock prints by Enami Shir˘,
