After graduating at the Ritsumeikan University he entered Tokuriki Tomikichirô’s workshop, where he worked as an assistant. Since the 1980s he has had many group and solo exhibitions, mainly in Japan, but also in USA. He has taken part in the prestigious CWAJ print show at the American Center in Tokyo six times; at present he still lives and works in Kyoto.
