Biography Kuroda, Shigeki (1953 - )

Kuroda Shigeki was born in Kanagawa Prefecture in 1953, and he graduated from Tama Art University (where he teaches part-time). He started printmaking in 1972, and he had his first one-man show in 1977. The bicycle-and-umbrella theme, then shown for the first time, has remained prominent ever since, but he has also made etchings and aquatints with other subjects, though he has remained fascinated by this ever-recurring theme.
His work is in many private and public collections.
