Biography Nakazawa, Hiromitsu (1874 - 1964)

Hiromitsu Nakazawa was a versatile artist, who took his degree at the Tokyo School of Fine Arts in 1900, and who was one of the earliest moku-hanga artists. He made book covers and book illustrations, prints of women (one, a swimming girl, is well-known as part of the Complete Collection of Chikamatsu series of 1923), and also landscape prints.
Together with Ishikawa Toraji, Nakagawa Hachiro and Yasuda Minoru he published a portfolio of woodblock prints in 1917, New Territory Souvenirs.
